Plant Overview

Coreopsis Mercury Rising

Coreopsis 'Mercury Rising'

Coreopsis 'Mercury Rising' is a tough drought-tolerant herbaceous perennial. Vivid, ruby-red daisy flowers on a compact, mounding coreopsis — one of the most intensely colored red coreopsis cultivars. Free-blooming and attractive to pollinators. Thrives in full sun with average to poor, well-drained soil. Extremely drought tolerant once established. Deadhead regularly to extend the very long bloom season. A workhorse perennial for sunny borders, meadow gardens, and pollinator plantings where continuous color from early summer through frost is essential.
