Plant Overview
Grass Misc. Adagio
Miscanthus sinensis 'Adagio'
Miscanthus 'Adagio' is a large ornamental maiden grass. A compact, refined maiden grass with very narrow, arching foliage and attractive silvery plumes in fall. Stays smaller than most miscanthus, making it excellent for borders and smaller landscape settings. Thrives in full sun to light shade in average, well-drained soil. Drought tolerant once established. Cut back hard in late winter before new growth emerges. An outstanding specimen or backdrop plant for large borders — graceful form, showy plumes, and excellent winter presence make it indispensable.
