Plant Overview
Grass Pennisetum Hameln
Pennisetum alopecuroides 'Hameln'
Pennisetum 'Hameln' is a ornamental fountain grass. One of the most refined and popular ornamental grasses — compact and well-behaved, with attractive arching foliage and abundant, creamy tan bottlebrush plumes from midsummer through winter. Thrives in full sun with well-drained soil. Drought tolerant once established. Cut back to within a few inches of the ground in late winter before new growth begins. A graceful addition to mixed borders, mass plantings, and containers — feathery plumes and arching foliage provide movement and texture from summer through winter.
