Plant Overview
Grass Misc. Morning Light
Miscanthus sinensis 'Morning Light'
Miscanthus 'Morning Light' is a large ornamental maiden grass. The most elegant and refined of the maiden grasses — very fine, silver and green variegated foliage creates a delicate, luminous effect. Coppery-pink plumes appear in fall above the gracefully arching mound. Thrives in full sun to light shade in average, well-drained soil. Drought tolerant once established. Cut back hard in late winter before new growth emerges. An outstanding specimen or backdrop plant for large borders — graceful form, showy plumes, and excellent winter presence make it indispensable.
